Students have writing journals that they write in regularly.
Students will:
- Understand there are many ways to read a book, write a story, or produce a media presentation
- Take risks to share their understanding, communicate their ideas, and develop literacy products
- Use word study to think about the meanings of words as well as the patterns of spelling
- Understand how technology can be used to aid them as a reader, writer, and researcher
